On my planes that have SAFE (don't own an apprentice) when in regular AS3X mode after giving it 25% throttle the AS3X is activated, return to zero throttle and if you pick up the model the controls jitter around and if you roll the plane the ailerons counter the movement then return to zero even if the plane is held upside-down. You should be able to see how everything responds before even putting it in the air. ĭid he not test the controls on the ground before flight? then fine-tune it in the air with the electronic trim. If any are way out of trim, with the plane on the ground : adjust mechanically first using the control linkages. And the control surfaces need to be trimmed while switch B is in advanced mode. If you try the DX8e again, make sure the modes are correct on switch B before you take to the air. A SAFE plane is incapable of doing a loop in beginner mode due to the pitch/bank limiting. If the plane did a loop when it was "put in beginner mode", it sounds like switch B was reversed and he was actually going from beginner mode to advanced mode. Thanks for the reply, I downloaded the airplane direct from Spektrum so in theory I shouldn't have to change anything, the reason I question this is 2 weeks ago we where at the field my instructor was flying in advanced mode then he was going to put in beginner mode so I could take over as soon as he did the plane did a full loop, he landed we checked all connections shut everything down and re initialized, took off again this time when he hit beginner the plane went straight into the ground, repaired the plane unbound the DX8e, rebound the radio that came with the plane, we flew last weekend all appeared to normal flew great.
